JAMES RELF MSc, MBACP, GMBPsS

I am an experienced and qualified counsellor working in Lincoln and the surrounding area. My work can be short or long-term. I work within a person-centred approach that puts the client at the centre of the therapeutic relationship. I work with the client’s own unique frame of reference, in a way that is best suited to their needs. I am a member of the BACP and I also hold appropriate professional insurance and a valid enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate.

My role as a counsellor is to help support clients to recognise their strengths and resourcefulness. I provide a safe and nurturing environment where they feel heard, accepted and able to explore thoughts and feelings. Through this relationship, I hope the client can begin to live in a way that feels more genuine to them, and in turn increases their overall well-being.

I remain continuously passionate and curious about the way, we as human beings continue to develop and strive for survival in the most difficult of circumstances.  I feel privileged that they may allow me to be with them for a time on their journey throughout the counselling relationship.
